Telephone Test

The shown project is a test system used for the inspection of end devices from the area of telecommunication.
The test system is based on a PXI/CPCI chassis CTSVP by Rohde & Schwarz. The inspection covers the complete electronic test as well as the testing of microphones and loud speakers.

The modularity of the system makes an upgrade with an in-circuit test (ICT) possible. Additional hardware, based on RS232, rounds off the functionality of the special test according to the telecommunication norm ETSI.
The system is designed as an analog system but has the option to be upgraded for testing according to ISDN norm. By means of adapters and the universal image processing solution by Schneider & Koch, the system can be used for varying end devices.

The software was created based on TestStand and LabView by National Instruments and extendet with several tools for the analysis of telecommunication specific measurements. The analysis and the debug function are realized by the software concept ATE-Debug from Prueftechnik Schneider & Koch.
